Theatreworks USA is honestly one of those arts organizations that makes my heart swell with joy.
The team there works tirelessly to bring live theatre to children across the country, opening their eyes to the magic and joy that is apparent in every one of their productions, from those just off Broadway to those stopping in towns like Kalamazoo, Michigan (hometown plug).
One of Theatreworks USA’s most famous alumni and ardent supporters is StageMama favorite Jesse Tyler Ferguson.
From Broadway theatre concession stand bartender (with my husband!) to Emmy-nominated actor for his perfect performance as Mitchell Pritchett in the ABC comedy “Modern Family,” Ferguson shares in a terrific promo for Theatreworks USA, his experiences bringing new musical theatre to youth audiences and why it is so important.
