Julie Nemitz brings her passion for all things show biz and pop culture, a unique perspective and humorous voice to StageMama.com.  She is a thought leader and innovative influencer in the realm of entertainment, as her overbooked and sleep-deprived schedule allows.  Julie conceived the blogsite StageMama.com during a Morphine/Percocet daze shortly after the birth of her second child Eliza (yes, as in Doolittle) who joined sister Lucy (yes, as in Ball) and husband Rich – a hunk of a guy who is not afraid to admit he knows all they lyrics in “A Chorus Line” yet boldly refuses let his wife hang a giant, framed picture of Judy (Garland) in the family room.

A near Encyclopedic knowledge of all things theatrical, her career has run the gamut from child actress through stints in regional theatre and summer stock, bus and truck live theatre and concert productions (ouch), children’s youth theatre director and educator, jingle and back up singer to (whew) award-winning nightclub chanteuse.  All this excitement and drama!  Yet people kept telling Julie, “You should write!” leading her to the inevitable conclusion she was not the next Patti Lupone.  She taps into her talents in marketing to women having spent the past decade in sales & marketing at media companies Time Inc., Meredith Corporation and Scholastic, Inc.

Her DVR is usually at 98% capacity, iTunes constantly crashes her computer and though she can’t get to the theatre as much as she could pre-kids, she has opinions of cinematic proportions.  Julie’s favorite film is ” The Wizard of Oz.”  Her favorite musicals are “Evita” and ”Into The Woods” and her favorite play is naturallyIn One Bed and Out The Other,” given she was born in the “Summer of Love” to parents who owned a summer stock theatre in the boondocks of Southwest Michigan.  Julie is mildly embarrassed to say she usually falls asleep during productions of Shakespeare and has yet to figure out why Kristin Chenoweth can’t catch a lead role on the silver screen.

Julie is also published on Associated Content, Role Mommy Writer’s Network  as well as a content partnership with Music Theatre International and her writing for the Silicon Valley Moms Blog has been syndicated nationally.  Julie and her family reside — harried but happy – in Maplewood, New Jersey and she has no idea why she decided to write this in the third person.
